Training

Becoming an EMR, EMT, or AEMT provides a great service to the community in which you live and is a great experience. Whether you choose to take a class in Hardwick or elsewhere in Vermont, you will have the opportunity to earn both Vermont and national certification. The Vermont Department of Public Health states,

“All of Vermont’s initial and continuing education follows the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s EMS Education Standards. Once you complete a Vermont EMS course and pass the exam, you will earn a National Registry of EMTs certification, which can help you gain reciprocal licensure in many states.”

Note that you do not have to be affiliated with Hardwick Rescue to take a class; however, in order to be a licensed EMS provider in Vermont, you must be affiliated with an EMS agency — like Hardwick Rescue!

Hardwick Rescue typically offers an EMT class in Hardwick during the fall/early spring. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.

Please contact us with any questions.

Other courses in the State of Vermont can be found by accessing the Vermont EMS Class Schedule.
